In order to encourage contributions to the Porcupine Marine Natural History Society (PMNHS) Bulletin, the Council has instituted an annual award for the best written and most engaging article published in the Bulletin. The award is in memory of Frank Evans, a founder member who was an excellent writer and contributed regularly to the Bulletin (previously Newsletter). The aim is to provide an opportunity for contributions from a wider range of authors, as previously the award was directed at students and known as the Bulletin Student Prize.
The award will be for the article published in the Bulletin in any one year (two issues), considered by a Judging Panel to be written in the most engaging manner.
The award will be presented at the annual conference of the Society.
